UFC Fight Night 76, an event to be held on October 24th in Dublin, Ireland, suffered a major absence this Tuesday (13th). Stipe Miocic, who was due to face Ben Rothwell in the attraction's co-main fight, suffered an injury and will not be able to participate in the card.

The information was first given by the North American website “MMA Junkie”. Miocic, currently third in the official UFC heavyweight rankings, is coming off a resounding victory over Mark Hunt, in June. The exact injury that the American of Croatian descent suffered was not disclosed. The UFC confirmed Miocic's departure from the card and stated that it will try to find a new opponent for Rothwell, although the event takes place in 11 days.
The main fight of UFC Fight Night 76 will be between lightweights Dustin poirier and the local athlete Joseph Duffy. The only representative from Brazil will be Ericka Almeida, who will face Irish Aisling Daly.
