Elias Silvério from São Paulo was cut after a poor run of results in the Octagon. “Xuxu”, as he is known, suffered his only two defeats in his last two appearances, to Rashid Magomedov and Shane Campbell. Before that, he had won three in the UFC, against João Zeferino, Isaac Vallie-Flagg and Ernest Chavez.

Another Brazilian fired was Jorge “Blade” Oliveira, who lost his two fights in the UFC, to Dhiego Lima e Christos Giagos. To make matters worse, he was caught undergoing a doping test in his last fight, using anabolic steroids.

the argentine Nazareno Malegarie, who participated in TUF Brasil 4, was also cut from Ultimate after just one fight inside the Octagon. “El Tigre” competed at UFC 191 last month and ended up losing to Joaquim Silva.

The last person fired by the UFC was Ramsey Nijem, runner-up in TUF 13. Nijem was coming off two consecutive defeats, to Carlos Diego Ferreira and Andrew Holbrook, going 5-5 inside the Octagon.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
