Daniel Cormier e Alexander Gustafson starred in an electrifying fight for the light heavyweight belt at UFC 192, an event held this Saturday (3) in Houston, in the United States. Naturally, the contest was voted “Fight of the Night” for the attraction, which earned a bonus of US$50 each.
Cormier and Gustafsson fought a five-round duel, with several good moments for each of them. In the end, the American was named winner in a split decision by the judges, retaining his belt in his first defense.
The only Brazilian to participate in the event, Adriano Martins also ended up winning a UFC award. The man from Manaus won US$50 for “Performance of the Night” with his beautiful knockout over Islam Makachev. Another winner of the “Performance of the Night” award was Albert Tumenov, who also beat Alan Jouban in the first round by knockout.
