Since Ronda Rousey became absolute champion of the UFC women's bantamweight division, there is a lot of talk about what a fight between her and a man would be like. But, even if this seems unimaginable nowadays, this type of combat has already happened to the North American woman in the past.

In an interview with “Sports Illustrated” magazine, Rousey stated that her “first MMA fights”, as she jokes, took place in front of men. At a young age, she faced boys on the streets of Los Angeles (USA) in the form of a bet for money.

“Me and my friend Jackie, after school, we would go to the mall and she would say to the men, 'I bet you $10 that my girl here can beat you.' And then some guys said, 'Oh, whatever. I accept the bet.' Then I threw him to the ground and strangled him or put him in an armbar. When he said he was giving up, we took money from him and went to buy frappuccinos. Those were my first fights,” said the fighter, who remains undefeated in professional MMA.

Ronda's next fight in the UFC will be on November 15th, at UFC 193, when she will defend her title against Holly holm in Melbourne, Australia.
