The victory of Rafael dos Anjos about Anthony Pettis it happened in March this year, but, more than six months after the duel, the rivalry between the two seems to be more alive than ever. It all started with a post from Rafael dos Anjos on your profile on Instagram. “So, kids, be careful with expired (cereal) boxes,” wrote the champion, along with a photo of a Wheeties cereal box in the supermarket with an image of Pettis with the UFC belt printed on it.
The North American's response was quick and appropriate. “Not everyone has the face to be on a cereal box. But just in time for Halloween, I'm going to get a scrunchie. I'll get my belt back for sure, but I'm focused on the next (fight). I tripped, but it won't happen again!”, said Pettis, who chose a montage with the “Franken-Berry” cereal, but deleted the message shortly afterwards.
On December 19th, Rafael dos Anjos puts his belt on the line against challenger Donald Corrone. The duel will be the main fight of UFC on FOX 17, scheduled for Orlando (USA). Already Anthony Pettis returns to the Octagon about a month later, on January 17, against Eddie Alvarez, at UFC Fight Night 81.
