Last minute write-off at UFC-111. Brazilian Thiago “Pitbull” Alves is out of the event taking place this Saturday, in the United States. According to several international websites, the Tupiniquim athlete was banned by the Athletic Commission due to an arterial injury to the brain. As a result, the expected rematch against Jon Fitch was cancelled.
With the loss on the card, the duel between Fabrício “Morango” and Kurt Pellegrino, which was scheduled to take place between the preliminary fights, was moved to the main card.
