The new promotion already has an event scheduled for October 27th, in Romford, in the greater London region. Speaking about his new venture, however, Pickett denied that he is trying to “compete” with the UFC. “Basically, I'm planting the seeds. I'm getting close to the end of my career, and I know it. I want to keep fighting, but I'm going to end up retiring one way or another, and I need to plant certain seeds. I think my experience can also help, having fought for so long and participating in so many events”, he pondered.

Furthermore, “One Punch”, as he is known, explained the reasons that motivated his entry into the industry. “I’m not in this to make money. When I started fighting, there was no path that you could call a career for young athletes. If you were a young athlete, you needed to play football or basketball. There was no career plan. But now, after years of being in this sport, there's this, if you want to make money you can be an MMA fighter, make it to the UFC and all that. My event is basically trying to bring together young talent, amateurs – we will only have a small portion of professionals on the card – and give them experience,” he commented.

At 36, Brad pickett has a professional record of 24 wins and eleven losses. The Brit comes from three consecutive defeats in the octagon, the most recent of which was against the Brazilian Thominhas Almeida, precisely in his debut in the bantamweight category.
