The now 41-year-old former fighter worked with kicks to Andrew's legs to pave the way for victory. Feeling the pressure of the blows, the Hawaiian was unable to return for the second round and Rizzo won by technical knockout.
With the triumph, Pedro reached his 20th MMA victory over his 19 years as a professional fighter. He has important wins over the likes of Tank Abbott, Mark Coleman, Dan Severn, Josh Barnett and Andrei Arlovski.
“I don't need to fight anymore, but I wanted one more for my students and for my daughter, who is eight years old and wanted to see me fight. Now is the time for new athletes and talents to shine” said Pedro Rizzo, who had another mixed martial arts legend in his corner, Marco Ruas.
