Ronda Rousey continues with a full schedule both inside the octagon and in the cinema. The UFC champion, who will defend her title once again this year, is also expected to star in the remake of 'Matador de Aluguel', which starred actor Patrick Swayze.
According to a report in “Variety” magazine, the American would be playing a female version of the protagonist. The original film, released in 1989, tells the story of a recently graduated bouncer who works as a bouncer at a busy bar in Missouri (USA). However, the character comes into conflict with a powerful corrupt businessman in the region.
Also according to the article, the UFC fighter contacted the widow of Swayze, who died in 2009, to ask for her approval of the project. She, it seems, would have given it without hesitation. Studio MGM is looking for screenwriters to begin production early next year.
At 28 years of age, Ronda Rousey He has participated in productions such as “The Expendables 3”, “Fast and Furious 7” and “Entourage”. In the future, she is also expected to star in the film “Mile 22”, which does not yet have a name in Portuguese, and a film version of her autobiography, “Minha Luta, Sua Luta”.
