Thominhas asks to fight against Miesha's boyfriend at UFC SP

Undefeated bantamweight also responded to challenges from compatriot Johnny Eduardo

Considered one of the biggest promises in Brazilian MMA, the undefeated bantamweight Thominhas Almeida He already has in mind the ideal next step for his career: fighting at home in the biggest organization on the planet. The 24-year-old from São Paulo expressed his desire to work in UFC Sao Paulo, scheduled for November 7th, and he even has the name of his possible rival in mind: Bryan caraway, muse's boyfriend Miesha Tate, and currently sixth in the division rankings.

“I think it would be a cool fight Bryan caraway. He's Miesha's (Tate) husband, boyfriend, I don't know, so he already has this media coverage. I think it would attract a lot of attention, even more so if it were here in São Paulo. He would be a really cool guy to fight”, said Thominhas, in an interview with the website “Sexto Round”.

Furthermore, the Chute Boxe athlete commented on the challenge of Johnny Eduardo and said that, despite his desire to fight at home, he has no interest in facing his compatriots in the Octagon. “I didn’t say I would fight him (Johnny Eduardo), I said I'm an employee, so whoever the UFC gives me to fight, I'll fight. There's nowhere to run, especially now, being in the top 10. But if I could choose, I wouldn't want to fight a Brazilian. I prefer to fight foreigners, even more so if it's here in São Paulo. I would really like to fight here in São Paulo on November 7th. I told the UFC that, in November, I will be prepared, regardless of the event. But it would be great to be able to fight here at home, in São Paulo”, he highlighted.

With a professional record of 19 victories in 19 fights, 18 of them by technical knockout or submission (15 of which ended in the first round), Thominhas Almeida He has been in Ultimate since last year and has three fights in the biggest MMA event on the planet. In his last performance, in July this year, Thominhas beat the veteran Brad pickett by technical knockout at UFC 189 and earned the “Performance of the Night” bonus.
