Despite being suspended for doping, Anderson trains hard at his gym

Brazilian showed sharp hands during training and maintains physical shape until he can return to MMA in 2016

Serving suspension for a doping case in his last fight in the UFC, Anderson Silva He already knows he won't be able to return to the octagon anytime soon. Even so, the former middleweight champion showed that he continues to train hard to maintain his physical shape and sharp boxing.

In a video published on YouTube, Anderson appears training on a punching bag, performing different types of combinations while paying attention to the movement of his legs. “Spider” is shown exercising for approximately a minute and a half, which also included some elbowing.

Anderson will only be able to fight again in February 2016. The Brazilian was found guilty by the Nevada Athletic Commission for having detected anabolic and anxiolytic substances in his body. During his trial, the former champion stated that he had accidentally ingested anabolic steroids while taking a sexual stimulant.

With his testimony considered “inconsistent” by the commissioners, Anderson received a 12-month suspension (counting from his fight against Nick Diaz), a fine of US$380 and the loss of his UFC 183 victory.
