The unification of the interim and linear featherweight titles between José Aldo e Conor McGregor at UFC 194 it is already one of the most anticipated fights in the history of Ultimate. But if it depends on Aldo, however, the long wait will result in a short fight. In an interview, the Brazilian promised to beat his great rival quickly.

“It's going to be as quick as possible, because that way no one suffers, including me, and we can quickly go home, eat and celebrate (laughs). We're going to suffer a lot less this time... Everyone always asks if I'm going to feel like hitting him more or not. Man, that doesn't matter to me. The important thing for me is to continue being the champion. I don't fall into a heap, whether it's or isn't, to hit or not to hit, I try to focus on my work, focus on being the champion. For me it doesn't matter if I'm going to get in there and finish quickly, if I'm going to punch him and he's going to fall... for me the important thing is that I come out victorious, it doesn't matter what I'm going to get there and do", said the champion, in a chat with fans published on the “Combate” channel website.

Furthermore, Aldo assured that he is completely recovered from the broken rib that removed him from Ultimate's first attempt at promoting combat. “I was a little sad, talking a little about the past. I was supposed to end this whole thing (with McGregor) and, during training, I broke my rib, but thank God the rib is fine, it's great and the training is starting. We still have four months, so we're starting slowly. When there are about nine weeks left, we will intensify and go deeper into the fight. For now, you can rest assured, I am slowly returning to training, making all the necessary adaptations and, in the future, I will be able to speak better”, he assured.

José Aldo e Conor McGregor finally share the octagon on December 12th, in the main fight of UFC 194, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). The card headlined by the Brazilian and the Irishman was already conceived as one of the most stellar in the organization's history and already has two other great duels confirmed: Chris Weidman x Luke Rockhold for the middleweight belt and Ronaldo Jacare x Yoel romero to decide the next challenger for the 84 kg division title.
