The collective action, which brings together 32 cases, was approved last week and demands, among other things, compensation from Manny Pacquiao and his promoters, who, according to the accusations, omitted the fact that the Filipino arrived at the fight injured and outside of their ideal physical conditions.

But the protest is not just against the Filipino. The process also includes a complaint against Floyd Mayweather, who had agreed to face an injured athlete. Shortly after the clash, Pacquiao announced that he had a shoulder injury and even underwent surgery there.

The duel between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, one of the most anticipated clashes in recent boxing history, and held in May this year, was to date the most profitable fight in combat sports. With over 4,4 million packages pay-per-view sold, almost twice as much as the old record, the “Fight of the Century” guaranteed around 700 million reais for Mayweather and 350 million for Pacquiao.
