“I want to focus on my work as a politician this year and I want to face Mayweather in a rematch. I will be ready physically and mentally next year. I would show an even better performance than I did in the first fight”, said Pacquiao, in an interview with the “Fightnews” website.

Pacquiao believes that, contrary to what the judges decided, he got the better of Mayweather. “He was running the whole time. I was dictating the pace of the fight by chasing him and I believe I deserved the victory,” he stated.

Mayweather, however, already has a fight scheduled before a possible rematch: he will face Andre Berto on September 12, in Las Vegas (USA). Regarding the duel, Pacquiao was on the fence. “It will be a good fight, since Andre Berto is fast and strong”, he limited himself to saying, without giving any predictions.
