The Bellator bantamweight title will certainly stay in Brazil for at least one more fight. This is because the next fight for the belt will put two Brazilian athletes face to face: the current champion Marcos Loro and the former champion Dudu Dantas.

The duel between Loro and Dudu will take place in October, in the 144th edition of Bellator, scheduled for the Mohegan Sun Arena, in Uncasville (USA). Information about the confrontation was released by the North American website “MMA Fighting”.

At 34 years old, Marcos Loro has a professional record of 17 wins, six losses and one draw. The Rio native comes from four consecutive victories, three of them with Bellator and the most recent one over Joe Warren, which guaranteed him the title of the 61,2 kg division.

Yes, Dudu Dantas, 26 years old, has a record of 17 wins and four losses. In his most recent appearance on cage circular, Dudu recovered from the loss of the bantamweight belt and beat Mike Richman in a unanimous decision by the judges in May of this year.

Loro and Dudu, who were once training partners at Rio's Nova União gym, faced each other for the Bellator belt in February 2013. On that occasion, Dantas came out on top with a technical knockout victory.
