The UFC's sponsorship deal with Reebok went into effect last month, starting with the July 11 event. However, the controversies on the subject, especially with regard to payments given to fighters, seem far from over.

Veteran Tim Kennedy once again expressed his dissatisfaction with the agreement and used the last event held by the UFC, last Saturday (8), as an example. The card, headlined by the fight between Glover Teixeira e Ovince St Preux, earned all athletes, together, the value of US$ 107,5 thousand from sponsorship. Kennedy stated that he has already extracted more from a single fight he has had in Strikeforce.

“The moment the sport finds itself in right now is horrible, tragic and pathetic. Even if you count all the payments made to UFC fighters that had Glover against OSP, I've already made more money from sponsorship in Strikeforce. In just one fight!”, said Kennedy, in an interview with the podcast “The MMA Hour”.

Kennedy last stepped into the Octagon in September last year, when he lost to Yoel romero. Before that, the fighter had accumulated three consecutive victories in the UFC, including triumphs over names like Roger gracie e Michael Bisping.
