Thales finishes quickly in Bitetti Combat

Despite many last-minute casualties, Bitetti Combat Brasília excited the public present at the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in the federal capital. Paul Philo, who would be in the main fight of the night, did not show up for personal reasons and left the Japanese Yuki Sasaki without an opponent, so it was up to Thales leites provide the main attraction of the show against Rich Washington. The Nova União black belt didn't give the American a chance and quickly submitted his opponent with a katagame two and forty minutes into the fight.

Returning to perform in Brazil, Thales leites closed the event with a flourish. Right at the beginning of the fight, the Brazilian managed the takedown, but, after the American's corner complained, the fight restarted on the feet and with a yellow card for the Brazilian. However, Thales managed another takedown and quickly went to mount. From then on, the Brazilian black belt attacked with his specialty, a fair katagatame, forcing Rico to give up the fight.

Glover Teixeira vs. Joaquim “Mammoth”

Called up last time to replace the American Jeff Monson, Joaquim Mamute started the fight better against Glover Teixeira. The Gracie Fusion athlete landed a good cross, which made his opponent feel the blow and look for the clinch, however, better prepared, Glover soon asserted himself in the fight and used his good striking to punish Mamute. After a first round where he already felt his physical condition, Joaquim was easy prey for Pedro Rizzo's pupil in the second round, who continued the punishment until the corner threw in the towel as a sign of giving up.

 

Danillo “Indian” Villefort vs. Cassiano Tytschyo

In one of the most anticipated fights of the night, Danillo “Índio” put on a show against Cassiano Tytschyo. In a frank exchange from the beginning, the ATT athlete connected with a strong right hand, leading his opponent to a knockout 57 seconds into the fight.

 

Cristiano Marcello vs. Emiliano Cobra Vatt

Having been away from MMA combat for more than two years, black belt Cristiano Marcelo didn't feel the lack of rhythm and put his sharp jiu-jitsu into practice. After falling to the bottom, the Brazilian black belt was quick on the trigger and applied a tight arm-bar, submitting Argentine Emiliano Cobra after one minute and five seconds of fighting.

 

Luiz Firmino “Buscapé” vs. Francisco Drinaldo “massaranduba"

After starting out very locked in the clinch, Francisco “massaranduba” surprised favorite Luiz Firmino “Buscapé”. After a fall, Massanduba soon went for a footlock, which was well defended by the ATT athlete, however, quick on the trigger, Francisco went for the leg-lock, forcing three taps.

 

Leandro Batata vs. Gustavo “Labareda” Sampaio

After a first round with a lot of striking, where Gustavo “Labareda” tried to use kicks, while Batata tried to counterattack with his efficient boxing, the local athlete had a slight advantage. In the second and third rounds, Batata decided to change his strategy and immediately looked for takedowns, being happy at every opportunity. Using ground and pound and submission attempts well, Leandro Batata managed to win with a unanimous decision from the referees.

 

Ediene “India” Gomes vs. Amanda nunes

In the women's fight of the night, Amanda nunes surprised the public by defeating the favorite Ediane India, in the opening match of the show. Showing good boxing and a great ground game, Amanda dominated the entire fight in striking and ground game. After a first round where Edson Carvalho's athlete had a great chance to submit her opponent on the way back to the second round, she didn't miss the chance to define the fight. After a frank exchange, Amanda took the fight to the ground and used ground and pound until the referee stopped it.
