More experienced in the UFC, the Brazilian was considered the favorite, but he was unable to put that into practice during the fight. In a very truncated 15 minutes of combat, developed much of the time in a tight manner, the Argentine ended up having more moments of superiority. The highlights were a high kick in the second round, which shook the Brazilian, and an important takedown in the final round.

Thus, Cannetti won the judges' unanimous decision, with a triple score of 29 to 28. It was “Ninja's” first victory in the UFC, while Wolverine suffered his second setback in a row – he had lost to the promising aljamain sterling, in July last year.

TUF Brasil 3 runner-up among heavyweights, Vitor miranda won his second consecutive victory in the UFC since deciding to move down to the middleweight category (up to 84 kg). The Brazilian controlled his rival's takedowns well until he managed to settle the score in the second round, with a technical knockout.

Hester already showed her intention to take the fight to the ground. However, Miranda reversed positions well, punishing the American when he fell on top. In the second round, Vitor landed a good knee when Hester was diving at his legs. With his rival groggy, the Brazilian was able to fall on top and punish him, until the referee interrupted him.

Thus, Miranda wins another one, since she had beaten Jake collier in Barueri, in December last year. Hester suffered his second defeat in a row – he also lost to Robert whittaker in November.

Marajó confirms favoritism and beats Brodinho in Brazilian duel

Ranked fighter in the bantamweight division, Iuri Marajó got the better of Leandro “Brodinho” Issa in the first Brazilian duel of the night. To do so, however, he had to fight back on the scoreboard after being at a disadvantage in the initial round.

Brodinho managed to take the fight to the ground in the first round, where he showed superiority. He even set up and attempted a submission, which was saved by Marajó.

In the next two rounds, Brodinho was unable to apply his strategy. Marajó kept the fight standing and punished his rival, connecting with good left rights. In the final moments, Marajó was close to being knocked out, but the fight ended up reaching the judges' decision – which gave Iuri the victory.

With this, Marajó finds his way back to victory, as he had lost to Frankie Saenz in his last fight, in Porto Alegre. Brodinho sees a sequence of two consecutive victories being interrupted.

The North American acted like a real “tick”, sticking to Feijão whenever possible without giving him space. The Brazilian tried to take advantage of the few gaps he had, even causing major injuries to Cummins' face with the blows he landed, but, in the end, the North American's game proved to be more efficient.
