“Ronda’s secret is work. She works hard and so I would say it's not just a secret. She has everything and does everything too. She is passionate about the sport, she trains very hard and loves her fans. She does everything exactly the way it should be for an athlete. So, that's what I think makes her so unique and special”, declared the leader of the Glendale Fighting Club, who preferred to adopt a humble speech when commenting on his participation in the blonde's results. “I don't look for people to give me credit for working with Ronda, she trains very hard, she's the best in the world and she gets victories. It doesn't matter if it's with an armbar or by knockout. She does her job, always looking for the submission or the knockout to be an exciting fighter to watch. She does her job, we do ours and success comes from there”, he added.

Declaredly fascinated with Brazil, Edmond, who even wore a personalized national team t-shirt with the name of Ronda and his academy at the time of the interview, said that the passion with which the Brazilian people do anything captivated him instantly. “I love Brazil and Brazilian fans, mainly because they are so passionate. It doesn't matter if it's football or MMA, they are really very passionate and get involved in everything. And I just love it,” he commented.

Finally, Edmond said that Ronda's game has developed a lot since they started working together, but that the champion still has room to grow even more, and was very excited for the duel against Bethe. “Ronda has evolved tremendously. I always told Ronda that after her tenth professional fight, she would get used to the Octagon and feel better, like it was her home. On the mat she already feels that way, because she spent her entire career there since judo and is so comfortable. Now, I think she already feels this way in the octagon. You need at least these ten fights to get used to it. And I told her that. Coincidentally, shortly after her tenth fight she achieved the fastest submission in UFC history. It just shows that she's getting better every day and so I'm really excited about all of this and the fight against Bethe,” he concluded.
