'TJ Dillashaw would knock out Conor McGregor', says the American's trainer

Duane Ludwig stated that he would love to see a fight between his pupil and the Irish fighter, despite the differences in size and weight

TJ Dillashaw added another important feat to his resume last Saturday (25), when he knocked out Renan Barao for the second time and retained the UFC bantamweight belt. However, the North American has already given signs in the past that he wants to go beyond the 61 kg category, and, perhaps, challenging the fighters in the top division, the featherweights.

And if Dillashaw himself is sure he could stand up to the weight's lineal champion, José Aldo, his main coach, Duane Ludwig, guarantees that his pupil would send the holder of the category's interim belt to the canvas, Conor McGregor.

“I think it would be a very exciting fight. Conor can barely make 66 pounds and TJ isn't a very big bantamweight. I would like to see the fight between TJ and Conor. And I already know how the fight would end: TJ would knock him out”, said Ludwig, in an interview with the “InsideBJJ” podcast.

The victory over Barão was Dillashaw's second title defense, who had already defeated Joe Soto in August last year. McGregor, who is coming off a victory over Dillashaw's training partner Chad Mendes, should fight to unify the belts against Aldo soon.
