UFC flyweight champion, Demetrious Johnson is not a great example of popularity with fans. Proof of this are the discreet sales numbers of pay-per-view in events in which he was the protagonist, such as UFC 174, last year, or UFC 186, in 2015. Even so, there were those who complained with the news that Johnson will be in the main fight of UFC 191, in September.

However, the fighter defended himself and questioned why he is so criticized by the public. “All I can say is: what more do you want from me? I submitted four of my last title fights, I knocked out one of the best in the world, I submitted a man who had never been submitted in his entire life. I don’t know what people want,” said Johnson, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Fighting”.

“Those who say I'm too small and who don't like seeing little people fight, I can't do anything. This is how God made me and I hope you enjoy watching big guys fight”, added the athlete.

Johnson will, on September 5th, rematch against John Dodson at UFC 191. He has already made six title defenses, only two of which – against Dodson himself and against Ali Bagautinov – reached the judges' decision.
