Floyd Mayweather already knows when and where he will fight his next fight, which should end his professional boxing career. It will be on September 12th, in Las Vegas (USA), against Haitian Andre Berto.
The 38-year-old American fighter himself announced the date on his Twitter account. The information regarding the opponent was given by the North American website “TMZ Sports”, although it highlighted that the contract has not actually been announced yet. Negotiations, however, would be quite advanced.
Mayweather, considered the highest paid athlete in the world, will try to end his career with a perfect record, as he has 48 wins in 48 professional boxing fights. Among his victims are Oscar de la Hoya, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Juan Manuel Marquez, Arturo Gatti and, in his last fight, Manny Pacquiao.
Berto, 31 years old, has a record of 30 wins and three losses, these being to Jesus Soto, Robert Guerrero and Victor Ortiz, the latter already defeated by Mayweather.
The venue for the fight will be the MGM Grand Garden Arena, which, a week earlier, will host UFC 191, with Demetrious Johnson x John Dodson in the main attraction.
