Next challenger for the UFC middleweight belt, Luke Rockhold is a staunch critic of Vitor belfort. The North American often repudiates the Brazilian, whom he accuses of ingesting prohibited substances. The “Phenomenon”, however, showed that he did not pay much attention to his rival and was ironic when commenting on the matter.

Belfort made reference to his victory over Rockhold in 2013, when the former Strikeforce champion was making his Ultimate debut. “I don’t have any animosity. He has it. I think that round kick stuck in his head. I have nothing against anyone. I want to fight the best, as I always have. I want to finish my legacy in the sport by fighting against the best”, said Vitor, in an interview with the former fighter’s official website B.J. Penn.

Belfort was also asked about his predictions on the fight between Rockhold and Chris Weidman, which should be carried out soon by the title. “I think it will be difficult. We will see. I will do my part and work to face the winner. I still think I have one more chance to compete for the title, so I’m going to work,” he replied.

In his last fight, Belfort was defeated by Weidman when he was trying to win the middleweight belt. On that occasion, the Brazilian lost by technical knockout in the first round.
