Always controversial in his statements, Chael Sonnen has not yet swallowed the exit of José Aldo from the UFC 189 card, an event that took place last Saturday (11). For the North American, the featherweight champion acted strangely not only regarding the injury itself, but also with his behavior in the following moments.

“I want to be responsible with my words, because a person's health comes first. But that story is nonsense. Two x-rays came out and there were five different stories. José says he no longer wants to fight in that weight class and his own training partner, after injuring him, appears in the press telling everyone how he did it. That is very, very strange”, commented Sonnen, in an interview with the Canadian television program “Off The Record”.

“What’s that expression like? 'Fool me once, it's your fault. Fool me twice, my fault.' What it is! José Aldo gave up five fights. The guy is an excellent fighter and I don't want to kick him while he's on the ground, but that's a bunch of nonsense,” added Sonnen, who had previously criticized Aldo for leaving the UFC 189 card.
