John Lineker debuts at bantamweight against 12th ranked at UFC 191

Brazilian, who was forced to change category after losing weight in flyweight five times, faces Francisco Rivera in September

After successive problems making weight in the flyweight category, Brazilian John Lineker was forced by Ultimate to move up a division and already has a date set for his bantamweight debut. Lineker, who is coming off two consecutive victories, will face the American Francisco Rivera, 12th in the official rankings.

At 25 years old, John Lineker has a professional record of 25 wins and seven losses. In his last appearance in the octagon, the Brazilian beat Ian McCall and had everything to qualify as the next challenger for the flyweight belt, if it weren't for problems with his weight.

Francisco Rivera, 33 years old, has a record of 11 wins, four losses and one fight without result. In his last fight, Rivera won Alex Caceres by technical knockout, putting an end to a streak of two consecutive defeats – for Urijah faber and Takeya Mizugaki.

UFC 191 takes place on September 5th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA). In the main fight of the night, the flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson grants the challenger a rematch John Dodson, surpassed by him in his first title defense in January 2013.
