The main Brazilian star today and one of the biggest stars in world football, striker Neymar has also shown himself to be a big fan of MMA. Present during several events during “International Fight Week” in Las Vegas (USA), the Barcelona star was at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for UFC 189 and didn't miss the chance to meet some of the biggest names in mixed martial arts.
In his official profile at Instagram, Neymar released a photograph in which he appears alongside the former Brazilian champions Lyoto Machida e Vitor belfort. “Brazil on the parade”, wrote the player along with the image. Coincidentally, recently, Lyoto and Vitor have been heavily linked to speculation about a possible settling of scores between them in the Octagon. The duel, however, does not seem close to getting off the ground.
After the event, which saw the victory of Conor McGregor about Chad Mendes in the fight for the interim featherweight belt as the main fight, Neymar also spoke about the anxiety for the unification of the titles between Conor and José Aldo. “I’m looking forward to this fight! Go for it, Aldo!”, wrote the star, along with a photo in which he appears showing off a UFC 189 VIP credential on which the faces of the Brazilian and the Irishman still appear.
