UFC carries out 'resignation package' and three Brazilians are cut

In addition to Dhiego Lima, who had already announced his dismissal, Luiz Besouro and Wendell Negão are also no longer UFC fighters.

The UFC carried out another of its “cleansing” and fired 14 fighters from its squad, three of which were Brazilian. Wendell Negão, Luiz Besouro e Dhiego Lima (who had already announced his cut) are no longer fighters for the biggest MMA organization on the planet.

The information was first released by the North American website “MMA Fighting”. Negão was hired by the UFC last year, when he had seven consecutive victories. In the octagon, however, he suffered two knockouts, one in Brasília to Santiago Ponzinibbio and another in Goiânia in front of Darren till.

Veteran Besouro also suffered two setbacks in two UFC appearances, losing to Kiichi Kunimoto by disqualification, and to Tom Breese, by knockout. Finally, Dhiego Lima, TUF 19 runner-up, lost three fights in four UFC appearances.

In addition to them, Ryan Jimmo, Robbie Peralta, Brian Ebersole (who had already announced his retirement from MMA), Hatsu Hioki, Bentley Syler, Nolan Ticman, Justin Edwards, Zhang Lipeng, Josh Sampo, Lisa Ellis and Jessica Rakoczy were also released.
