Weidman celebrates two-year anniversary of knockout over Anderson with photo: 'Indescribable'

The main fight of UFC 162, an event held in Las Vegas (USA), ended up making MMA history. On July 6, 2013, Chris Weidman left the world in awe when he knocked out Anderson Silva, breaking the Brazilian's unbeaten run in the UFC and becoming the newest middleweight champion of the biggest organization on the planet.

The date did not go unnoticed by the owner of the category belt, who posted a photo on his Instagram commemorating the occasion. “Two years ago today I did what I said I would do. I got knocked out Anderson Silva and I took home the gold for the first time. The feeling was indescribable”, wrote the American fighter.
