After beating Lyoto, Romero leaves Brazilians behind and soars up the middleweight rankings

Cubano is now third on the list, ahead of Belfort and Machida himself; Hacran Dias also gains positions

Yoel romero is on the rise after last weekend when it defeated Lyoto Machida in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 70. The Cuban, who accumulated his sixth consecutive victory in the organization, jumped to third place in the official rankings of the middleweight division, leaving behind two Brazilians: Vitor belfort and Machida himself.

Romero now finds himself behind only Luke Rockhold, the next challenger for the belt, and Ronaldo Jacare, second place. For being the champion, Chris Weidman It doesn't appear on the list.

Another major change after UFC FN 70 was in the featherweight division. Hacran Dias, who beat Levan Makashvili in a split decision, gained two positions on the list, leaving behind Tatsuya Kawajiri and Dennis Siver. Now, “Barnabé” occupies 12th place.
