Last Saturday (20) was not just good news for Joanna Jedrzejczyk. The Polish, who successfully defended the UFC women's strawweight belt, against Jessica penne, in Berlin (Germany), suffered a fracture in the thumb of his right hand and could undergo surgery, which would leave him out of fights for a considerable time.
The information was confirmed by one of the fighter's managers, Shu Hirata, to the North American website “MMA Fighting”. It was not known exactly at what point in the fight Jedrzejczyk fractured her finger.
The Polish woman completely dominated the fight against Jessica penne, massacring the North American for two rounds until obtaining a technical knockout in the third round. It was her first defense of the title, won in March, at UFC 185, against the inaugural champion Carla esparza.
