The promotion of the struggle between José Aldo e Conor McGregor has been surrounded by controversy in recent months. During the world tour of press conferences, the two athletes clashed several times, including when the Irishman grabbed the belt from the Brazilian, who was furious. However, with the fight approaching, Aldo assured that he will react differently if he is provoked by McGregor again.

Aldo, in fact, stated that it would even be positive if both come to blows, as it would increase public interest in the fight. “I already have in my head what I’m going to do, but it’s a secret. What I can promise is a José Aldo different, because now there is no fine or suspension. After everything they spent, they won't cancel this fight for anything. I'm sure he'll come forward, but I guarantee it will be totally different now. It would be nice if there was a fight. That's what people want to see. They pay me to hit, so if it happens, it will be beautiful. I hope I hit him. In fact, I'm going to beat him”, said the featherweight champion, in a press conference reproduced on the “Combate” channel website.

Controversy aside, Aldo declared that his definitive response to his rival's provocations will come in the octagon, in the fight that will take place on July 11th. “I'm usually quite calm, he's the one trying to promote himself. One day we will be face to face, and I will let my hands speak for me. He can say whatever he wants, but at the time he will feel my response. I'm sure he's going to tremble, I already felt it when I looked into his eyes. I'm going up. He never faced a guy like me”, he assured.

the fight between José Aldo e Conor McGregor will be the main attraction of UFC 189, in the city of Las Vegas, in the United States. The Brazilian will once again put the featherweight title at stake, which he has held since the category was created in the UFC at the end of 2010.
