TUF Brazil 1 Champion, Ron Jason was the highlight of the UFC Fight Night 67 preliminary card, this Saturday night (30), in Goiânia. The Brazilian returned to the UFC after a year away due to injury with a submission victory against Damon Jackson.
After the fight, Jason raised the crowd in the gym with his protest speech. “I'm not ashamed of being Brazilian because of you [the fans], but because of the government, which is destroying everything. Corruption in Brazil is ambidextrous, so let’s unite”, said the fighter.
In the fight, Jason suffered from falls from Jackson, who insisted on taking the fight to the ground. However, in the first round, the Brazilian was agile in applying a triangle, which caused the North American to withdraw.

Thus, Formiga prevailed in the judges' unanimous decision, winning his third consecutive victory.

Night starts with debutant knockout over Besouro
The first fight of the night started negatively for the Brazilian representatives. Luiz Besouro was no match for the newcomer Tom Breese and ended up defeated by technical knockout in the first round.
The fight started evenly, with both fighters working hard in the clinch. In the final moments of the first round, Breese connected with a straight left on Besouro, who fell. The Brazilian turned his back while the Englishman struck, and that was the cue that referee Fernando Yamasaki needed to stop the fight. Besouro even complained, but the victory went to Breese, at 4min58s of the opening period.
Thus, Besouro suffers his second defeat in two fights in the UFC, as he was disqualified in his debut, in January last year, against Kiichi Kunimoto. Breese debuts on the right foot in Ultimate and maintains his undefeated record, with eight wins in eight fights.
Ju Thai dominates fight and takes away Ericka Almeida's unbeaten record
In the first Brazilian duel of the night, Juliana Lima used her experience to calmly defeat Ericka Almeida with a unanimous decision from the judges. Ju Thai dominated the actions on the ground to win according to all the judges, with one of them even scoring 30 to 25.
With this, Juliana won her second victory in a row, as she was coming off a triumph over Nina ansaroff in Uberlândia (MG). Ericka, strawweight champion of the Jungle Fight, suffered defeat in his Ultimate debut, which was also his first setback in professional MMA.

In the promising fight between featherweight Mirsad Bektic and lucas mineiro, a hit from the Bosnian. Bektic punished Mineiro from start to finish, both with ground and pound and striking and settled the score in the second round.
Right at the beginning of the fight, Bektic took Mineiro to the ground and delivered hard blows, which damaged the Brazilian's left eye. In the following period, Bektic knocked Mineiro down with a cross to the left side of his face, as the Brazilian, with his swollen eye, had difficulty seeing. Thus, Bektic, 24 years old, reached ten wins in ten fights in professional MMA; Mineiro suffered its second defeat in a row.
Capoeira loses in his UFC debut
The UFC debut of the former UFC champion Jungle Fight Elizeu Capoeira It wasn't what he expected. The Brazilian had good moments in the octagon, but was defeated by Nicholas Dalby in combat in a very close combat, which lasted all three rounds.
Overall, Capoeira had the better of the striking, connecting good blows on Dalby. The Dane, however, balanced his actions with falls at precise moments. In the end, Dalby was named the winner in a split decision by the judges.
