On August 1st, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Beth Pitbull challenge the champion Ronda Rousey for the women's bantamweight title. While Ronda divides her attention between defending her belt and her life as a celebrity, with the launch of her book and appearances in the cinema, the Brazilian maintains full focus on the main fight of UFC 190. In an interview, Bethe spared no criticism of her rival and guaranteed who will knock out Rousey.

“I want to knock Ronda out, show that she is a fake. She said she wants to change, I want to see. I want to demoralize her and prove to the world that she doesn't have MMA. Ronda is lucky with her judo, which was applied to the girls, who got confused. The girls she fought are great, but I bet if they fight again, they'll beat Ronda. Ronda is full of frustrations and is trapped in this, living in this fairy tale. I am reality, a warrior, a Brazilian woman”, said the challenger, in an interview on the website of the channel “Combate.

Furthermore, the Brazilian said that she does not regret anything that was said about her rival, not even having touched on the personal problems that Ronda reported having experienced after the defeat at the Olympic Games. “I never regretted anything I said. On the contrary, I regret not having said more (laughs). What is done from the heart has no evil. It's bad when you lie, invent, slander. I am not. I say what I think about Ronda. (…) I only told the truth, it was a statement from herself, after she lost in the Olympics. I would never fall for it (drugs), I'm 31 years old, I've been through very difficult situations. I never fell into drugs, nor did I fight with my mother and run away from home. I take life as it is,” she stated.

Finally, Bethe assured that Ronda receives more credit than she should for her achievements and that, in addition, the blonde is underestimating her qualities. “If you look closely, Ronda has never shown an MMA game. She just uses the jab to get closer and take the takedown. She said she wants to swap with me, which I would love. I really want to see her MMA game and see what happens. I'm an MMA athlete, so she's entering my area, my comfort zone. I have a good head, I don't get defensive, but I also don't go all out. I think carefully about what to do, intelligently. If you come aggressively or too passively, you'll screw me. It will be the hardest fight of her life, as she is underestimating me,” she concluded.
