Belfort cries after defeat to Weidman: 'I got to feel the taste of victory'

After a year and six months of expectation, the dream of winning the middleweight belt ended in less than three minutes for Vitor belfort. Knocked out by Chris Weidman in the co-main fight of UFC 187, Belfort cried in an interview given after the fight, backstage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas (USA), but he also did not fail to praise his rival's performance and quote words of recognition.

Vitor analyzed the setback, spoke about the path to his chance at the title and couldn't contain his tears when remembering the long journey, from November 2013 until the long-awaited completion of the duel

“I got to feel the taste of victory, maybe I should have kicked instead of punching there. I don't know, I have to watch the tape again. I had the fight in hand.
