After almost four years, the Ultimate light heavyweight category has a new champion: Daniel Cormier. But the athlete American kickboxing Academy continues with his head on the former title holder Jon Jones. This Saturday (23), in the main fight of UFC 187, Cormier beat Anthony Johnson, won the vacant belt in the 93 kg division and sent a direct message to Jones, who continues to await the legal outcome of his most recent problem with the law.

In the third round, Johnson already showed profuse bleeding from his face and clear signs of fatigue. Cormier took advantage of his rival's condition and went to end the fight, which ended up happening as soon as he took AJ's back and managed a rear naked choke.
After the duel, two facts caught attention. The first was that it was up to Anthony Johnson, and not President Dana White, as is customary, the task of placing the belt on the new champion Daniel Cormier. Additionally, official commentator Joe Rogan even tried to interview DC, but he had a pretty clear message to send. “Forgive you, Joe Rogan, and the 14 fans here, but I just want to say it to one person: Jon Jones, get your shit together, I’m waiting for you”, he shouted, before leaving the octagon.
