With a tense look, Weidman calls Belfort a cheat at the UFC 187 weigh-in

After more than a year of intense anticipation, the struggle between Chris Weidman e Vitor belfort is finally confirmed. On Friday night (22), fighters from the middleweight division went through the scale challenge during the official weigh-in for UFC 187, in the city of Las Vegas (USA).

And tension was in the air even at the weigh-in. Challenging for the belt, Belfort was the first to step on the scale. Booed by the fans, the “Phenomenon” seemed calm and weighed 83,6 kg. Shortly after, it was Weidman's turn, who was at the limit of the category in title fights, 83,9 kg.

In the official confrontation, Weidman provoked Belfort, who responded immediately. Shortly afterwards, the champion explained that his irritation was due to results of testosterone tests carried out by fighters recently: “I didn’t bring up the subject of drug tests until now, but when the results came out…. I'm 10 years younger than him and look at his testosterone level! He keeps cheating and he’s going to pay for it,” Weidman said.

Belfort, in turn, avoided sharing the discussion. “For me, it’s a dream. I'm living the dream and I'm blessed. I’m ready,” he said.
