Weidman: 'I'm going to retire undefeated and completely destroy my division'

The North American also spoke about the fight against Vitor Belfort and assured that "it will be too much for him"

Chris Weidman is currently, alongside Ronda Rousey e Joanna Jedrzejczyk, one of three UFC champions who don't know what defeat means in MMA. And, if it depends on the North American, this scenario will remain until the moment he hangs up his gloves. Leaving future plans aside, Weidman also talked about Vitor belfort, his opponent this Saturday. “All I know is that this is my time. I work very hard every day to be the best in the world, to be where I am. I think he had his time, and now it's my time. I think I'm going to be too much for him. I want to face the best out there, I want to face people that people think I can't beat. Any of those, I’m willing to fight,” he concluded.

At 30, Chris Weidman He has 12 wins in 12 fights as a professional. Since winning the middleweight belt against Anderson Silva, in 2013, Weidman only faced Brazilian athletes. In addition to the rematch against Spider, the North American also won Lyoto Machida in July last year. Now, the “All American” rival will be Rio de Janeiro Vitor belfort, in the co-main fight of UFC 187.
