With the ban on Testosterone Replacement Treatment (TRT) by the Nevada Athletic Commission, it was thought that Vitor belfort, one of the main exponents of the therapy, would suffer a sharp drop in his hormonal level. However, the results of the tests carried out before UFC 187 were surprising, as the Brazilian appears to have higher testosterone levels than his opponent. According to the results of tests carried out by the Nevada Athletic Commission, and published on the website of the “Combate” channel, Vitor and Weidman appear within the limits allowed by the regulatory body, but the Brazilian's levels are twice as high as the North American's. . In the first exam, Vitor showed 12 nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL) of testosterone in his body and a testosterone-epitestosterone (T/E) level of 1,7. Weidman's test showed 3,7 ng/mL of testosterone and a T/E ratio of 0,13. As a reference, the maximum values ​​allowed by the Athletic Commission are a 6/1 ratio.
