Last three UFCs together sell less than a quarter of Pacquiao x Mayweather pay-per-views

If combined, UFCs 184, 185 and 186 sold, at best, 990 thousand packages, against 4,4 million for 'Fight of the Century'

The sales figures of pay-per-view of the last three UFC events ended up disappointing and were far below what the biggest MMA organization on the planet wanted.

According to figures released by the North American website “Wrestling Observer”, UFC 185, held in March and starring Anthony Pettis x Rafael dos Anjos, sold 275 thousand packages. The following event, in April, with Demetrious Johnson x Kyoji Horiguchi, ended up with a number that could vary between 100 and 125 thousand, according to estimates.

UFC 184, which took place in February with Ronda Rousey x Zingano cat in the main attraction, it had a more prominent performance and won 590 thousand packages. However, the number was insufficient to improve the UFC's recent record, which ended up recording 990 sales across three events.

The number is even more insignificant compared to the highly anticipated boxing fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. The “Fight of the Century”, held on May 2, recorded 4,4 million sales – more than four times more than the last UFC events.

The next event in pay-per-view of the UFC will be on May 23rd, with two title fights: Chris Weidman defends the middleweight belt against Vitor belfort, and Anthony Johnson faces Daniel Cormier for the vacant light heavyweight title.
