After months of speculation and mystery, the UFC has finally revealed how fighters will be paid with the new sponsorship agreement with sporting goods company Reebok, which, starting in the middle of the year, will provide uniforms for the athletes of the biggest organization in the world. As previously announced, payment will be made based on the number of fights each athlete has already had in the UFC and in organizations acquired by it, such as Strikeforce and WEC (only counting after they have been acquired by the company Zuffa). Exceptions will be made for champions and title challengers.
The amounts mentioned below will be deposited to the fighters within 10 working days before the fights. The first event where the agreement will be in effect will be UFC 189 in July, which will feature Conor McGregor e José Aldo as the main fight. From then on, fighters will not be able to use other sponsors in the octagon or at UFC promotional events.
