The ‘fight of the century’ is officially confirmed. On Friday night (01), in Las Vegas, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao stepped on the scale, weighed in and did the traditional face-off before climbing into the ring set up at the MGM Gran Garden, next Saturday (02), to the awaited duel. Without provocation, the fighters were calm and posed for the photographers in a respectful manner.

Mayweather, who fights in his country, went on stage for the weigh-in with five security guards and was heavily booed by the crowd in Las Vegas (watch the video below). The super champion, who weighed 66,2 kg, seemed uncomfortable with the excessive booing

“I don’t know what Pacquiao said, I don’t want to know. I'm focused on what I'm going to do tomorrow. All 47 fights I had were key to the history of boxing. I need to be smart and keep everything my father asked me to do. I'm here to do what I've always done, I've dedicated my entire life to boxing and I'm ready for this fight. I’m happy for everyone who came to support us and even those who are on Pacquiao’s side,” said Mayweather.

In turn, Pacquiao received an ovation from the public. Smiling, the Filipino weighed 65,7 kilograms and simply thanked his fans and promised a great duel.

“I thanked him and I thank everyone that this fight is happening. This fight will happen because the fans deserve to see it. I've faced guys bigger than me and won. But this fight is very special for me and my fans, as well as his fans. They deserve a great fight,” said Pacquiao.
