The witch of injuries has returned to haunt the UFC. The Swede Alexander Gustafson, who would be in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 69, in Berlin, against the Brazilian Glover Teixeira, was injured and is out of action. The show's organizers acted quickly and called the Polish Joanna Jedrzejczyk, owner of the women's strawweight belt, to defend her reign in the night's main fight against the North American Jessica penne. The event has not yet announced whether Glover will continue on the card with another opponent or will wait for Gustafsson to recover.

the return of Alexander Gustafson to the Octagon was highly anticipated by sports fans. The Swede, who was the toughest rival of Jon Jones, was tipped to do a rematch against the then light heavyweight champion. But an unexpected defeat for Anthony Johnson, at home, in January, postponed the reunion. He has a professional record of 16 wins and three losses.
