The long-awaited fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao promises to set new financial parameters for the already traditionally millionaire world of boxing. In addition to the gigantic purse to be paid to the fighters, around US$250 million, the fight will also represent an extra gain for the Filipino fighter, who should receive around R$7 million just from the sponsorships that he will display on his shorts in the ring .

The amount is the largest in the history of boxing that we know of. According to Pacquiao's business manager, Eric Pineda, the fighter will wear slightly larger shorts in this fight, which will help to display the company logos. “The money raised for this fight is different from previous fights. So far, we have six companies that will print their brands on Manny’s shorts,” he explained to the Philippine newspaper “Manila Bulletin”.
