If the first time they faced each other, in 2013, Ronaldo Jacare needed 3m37 seconds to defeat Chris Camozzi, this Saturday (18), in the co-main fight of UFC on FOX 18, the Brazilian only took 2m35 to submit his rival, who had just a week to prepare for the fight.

After the duel, still in the octagon, the Brazilian took advantage of the moment and sent a message directly to Ultimate. “I'm the number one contender for the belt!” he said to the cameras recording the official announcement of the fight.

PUBLICITY:

Shortly before, the bell had barely sounded and Jacaré was already presenting his striking credentials. With two powerful kicks to the waistline and a well-aimed direct shot, the Brazilian shook Camozzi's structure. But after the first few minutes, the Espírito Santo's history in the smooth art spoke louder and Jacaré took him to the ground, worked the position masterfully and submitted Camozzi without any problems with a very tight armbar, which left the North American without any reaction.

Now, Jacaré has 22 wins, three losses and one unsuccessful fight as a professional. In total, there are already five victories as an Ultimate athlete and the UFC fighter. X-Gym remained in first place in the Ultimate middleweight rankings.

The young Hawaiian Max Holloway played against Cub swanson the chance to win his fifth consecutive victory in the Octagon. And the triumph came despite all the rival's favoritism. Holloway took no notice of the former WEC belt challenger, dominated the duel throughout and managed the submission with a guillotine choke with just over a minute remaining in regulation time.

With the triumph, Holloway expanded his record to 13 wins and three losses. The Hawaiian, who currently occupies ninth place in the featherweight rankings, has won six consecutive victories and has not lost since August 2013, when he was defeated by the title challenger Conor McGregor.
