Next Saturday (18), in Newark (USA), Lyoto Machida will face Luke Rockhold in the main fight of UFC on FOX 15, in a fight that could define the direction of the middleweight category (up to 84 kg). However, a few years ago, “Dragão” was already at the top of another division: light heavyweight, with a weight limit of up to 93 kg.

In May 2009, the previously undefeated Lyoto challenged Rashad evans for the belt, in a fight held at UFC 98 in Las Vegas (USA). The Bahian, based in Pará, needed less than two rounds to overwhelm Evans, with a devastating knockout, and win the title.
