Silva and Diaz faced each other at UFC 183, on January 31st, with the Brazilian winning by unanimous decision from the judges. However, a few days later, Anderson was caught in two anti-doping tests, one carried out weeks before the fight and the other on the day of the attraction. The fighter had anabolic and anxiolytic substances detected in his body. Diaz also failed the exam, with marijuana.

Thus, “Spider” has his future in the sport undefined, as the case will soon be judged by the Nevada Athletic Commission. If found guilty, the Brazilian will probably lose his victory against Diaz (which would turn into no-contest, that is, a fight without result), in addition to having to serve a suspension and pay a fine.
