According to a report by Art Davie, co-founder of the UFC, to the North American website “MMA Fighting”, Rosier had been facing health problems for some time, with frequent hospitalizations, and suffered a fatal heart attack.
A kickboxer by birth, Rosier participated in the second fight of UFC 1, on November 12, 1993, in Denver, Colorado (USA). On that occasion, he defeated Zane Frazier by technical knockout after just over four minutes of fighting. As the competition was, at the time, played in a tournament format, Rosier returned to the octagon shortly afterwards, being defeated via technical knockout by Gerard Gordeau – the eventual runner-up, beaten by Royce gracie at the final.
Rosier returned to the Octagon a little over a year later, at UFC 4, and was submitted by Joe Charles. He had five more fights, losing four and winning one, including two setbacks against Ultimate Hall of Famer Dan Severn.
