During much of the 90s, games from the “Mortal Kombat” series drew young people to arcades and became part of the culture pop, with dozens of versions also for consoles and adaptations for cinema and TV. Now, the game was the inspiration for the newest provocation of José Aldo to the challenger Conor McGregor.

In a video released on Instagram, the Brazilian champion appears as Scorpion, the most famous character among the ninjas in the series alongside Sub-Zero, and beats McGregor, who in turn plays Reptile. The Brazilian applies “Babality” to his rival, an alternative version of the traditional “Fatality” in which the fighter humiliates the opponent and turns him into a baby, and even takes a risk in English by saying that he won a perfect victory (“Flawless Victory” , in the original).
José Aldo e Conor McGregor face each other in the octagon, not in outworld, on July 11th. On that date, the pair will compete for the featherweight belt in the main fight of UFC 189, at the MGM Grand Garden, in Las Vegas (USA).
