Napão weighs 10 kg more than Cro Cop and confirms UFC Poland main fight

Brazilian and Croatian rematch a historic duel held eight years ago this Saturday (11) in Krakow

Protagonist of the main fight of UFC Poland, the Brazilian Gabriel Napao he should have a good strength advantage over his opponent, the legendary Croatian Mirko Cro Cop. At the official weigh-in of the event, held this Friday (10) in Krakow, Napão weighed no less than 10 kg more than his rival.

First to step on the scale, veteran Cro Cop, who makes his return to the UFC, weighed 105 kg. Soon after, it was Napão’s turn to step on the scale. Visibly heavier than his opponent, the Brazilian confirmed his impression and weighed 115 kg, just over 4 kg below the maximum limit allowed in the heavyweight category (up to 120 kg).

Asked by presenter Dan Hardy about the excitement of returning to Ultimate and facing Napão, who beat him with one of the most surprising and spectacular knockouts in history eight years ago, Cro Cop assured that he is completely focused on this Saturday's fight (11). “There’s nothing more than that going through my head right now. I'm ready for the fight, I'm focused and that's it”, he guaranteed.

Without fighting for over a year and a half, Serginho Moraes He passed the first stage of his return to the Octagon without any problems. Brazilian representative on the preliminary card, the TUF Brazil 1 runner-up weighed 77,5 kg, using the pound tolerance for fights that are not worth the belt. His opponent, Frenchman Mickael Lebout, was even below the weight allowed in the welterweight category, weighing in at 76,6 kg.
