After winning again, with the knockout over Antonio Pezão in Porto Alegre (RS), the former champion Frank mir He already has a date, place and opponent set for his return to the Octagon. Mir will face Todd Duffee on July 15, in San Diego (USA), in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 71.

The information was confirmed by journalist Ariel Helwani, during this Wednesday's (08) edition of UFC Tonight, the official Ultimate newspaper on North American TV. In addition to the duel between Mir and Duffee, two other fights have already been announced for the card in California: Josh thomson x Tony Ferguson and Igor Araújo x Sean Strickland.
Frank mir, 35 years old, has a professional record of 17 wins and nine losses. With the triumph over Pezão in his last appearance in the Octagon, the former interim light heavyweight champion interrupted a losing streak that had lasted four fights and almost three years.
Todd Duffee, 29 years old, has a record of nine wins and two losses. Duffee returned to the Octagon in December last year, after spending almost two years away due to serious health problems. The American did well on his return and knocked out compatriot Anthony Hamitlon in just 33 seconds.
